This a test rig for an installation I’m planning. It comprises of a Raspberry PI running Raspbian and Pd-Extended. This is connected to an array of 6 proximity sensors via an Arduino with the Firmata firmware.
The Puredata patch allows you to chose or create scales, select tempo, note ranges and transposition. Sound is produced by 6 channels of Karplus Strong string models with delay. The built in RPI sound output is used.
The Raspberry is oveclocked to 1ghz, CPU usage is around 75%.

Filthy Luker and Under Pressure Art invade Manchester city centre
This is a huge (60ft high) interactive art installation built by us for Red Stripes “Make with” project. I designed the lights, and interactive software for the piece.
The system uses an An Intel Atom based PC running Puredata. The patch was developed in record time and encountered many issues along the way namely how to produce the 130 channels of DMX lighting information with software designed for audio/video.
NEW TUNE! Released as Android app.
Haxxor is a generative, interactive track by Jnr Hacksaw. A never repeating, endless universe of sound in your pocket.
Haxxor is generative in that the music is synthesised in real time by your device, its interactive in that it provides a selection of controls for the user to mess with the sound.
